If your head is always in space, then it might be time to take a look up at the stars. One Ontario winery is now offering stargazing nights and you can sip vino under the sparkles of the night sky.
Calamus Estate Winery, located in Jordan, is hosting this special event on Wednesdays this summer in their Chronos Observatory Tower.
The Members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will be taking over the estate’s telescope to show guests exactly what’s happening above them.
Along with the stargazing, the Ontario winery will also serve a buffet dinner, followed by live music and lawn games in the vineyard.
On June 8, the menu includes mouthwatering dishes such as a triple berry salad, bolognese rigatoni, pork tenderloin and roasted potatoes.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 11 p.m. with telescope viewing available from dark until the end of the night.
Bar service will also be open throughout the night for you to purchase wine, by the bottle or glass, and other drinks such as craft beer.
Tickets are currently $69 per person plus tax and can be purchased on their website.
However, the winery says to act fast, as events sell out every year. Due to high demand, wine club members will be offered first dibs.
