Sprucewood Shores Estate, which is nestled into Essex County, has so many summer activities and you’ll want to add it to your bucket list. Located right on the shores of Lake Erie, this gorgeous winery lets you have a beachside picnic and play giant lawn games.
From May until October, you can grab one of their amazing picnic baskets which come loaded with baked bread, charcuterie meats, Ontario cheese, antipasto, hummus, vegetables and dessert.
You can take your snacks, along with a bottle of wine, anywhere on the vineyard’s scenic grounds, including their breathtaking beach which offers stunning waterside views.
While you’re out enjoying the sunshine, you can also rent some of their giant lawn games to pass the time. It’s the perfect date or even just a fun hangout with friends and family.
Some of the games you can grab include cornhole, giant Jenga and Connect 4, which will really let you put your skills to the test.
The picnic basket is $28 plus tax and game rentals are $10 an hour. No reservations are required, and all activities are weather permitting. You can check out the company’s website for more information.
If you’re looking to sample some of their wine, you can also try four of their vinos for $10. The estate has reds, whites, sparkling, fruit wine and more to choose from.
Once you’re done with your winery beachside picnic, there are so many other spots to check out around the Essex area.
