While it might feel like you’ve been transported to a hidden winter village, you’re still just in wine county. Trius Wine Winter Domes are now accepting reservations and they are the best place for your next tasting.
Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this stunning spot has so many activities to participate in, including the opportunity to sample their wine.
By reservation only, you and three of your friends can cheers under sparkling lights in your own personal winter dome.
The experience lets you enjoy a tasting flight of three of their vinos, a full glass of wine of your choice, and a Trius Hero’s Plate charcuterie board.
The mouth-watering board includes goodies like Summer Sausage, Smoked Pickerel, Hewitt’s Goat Cheese and Fresh Honeycomb, Maple Delicata Squash, Bread & Butter Pickles.
The Trius Wine Winter Domes can only be booked through a phone call, and cost $166 plus tax for groups of 2 – 4 people from the same household.
Due to the pandemic, they are currently not accepting any groups that are larger than 4 people at this time.
If you’re looking for something a little more lowkey, the winery also does tastings at their bar for $10 per person.
Once you’re done at this local spot, you can head over to the neighbouring Wayne Gretzky Estates, which has an adorable ice rink in the winter that you can check out.
You can also sample some of their beer, wine and whiskey in their tasting bar while you are there.
If you’re looking for another adventure to go on, the popular Peller Estates Winery also has an ice wine lounge that you can take a tour of.
The hidden spot lets you try some of their classic favourites inside of a chilly igloo, and also shows you around the rest of the beautiful estate.
