Ontario’s Pumpkinferno Is Back This Month With Over 7K Glowing Pumpkins

What better way to celebrate autumn than with thousands of glowing pumpkins? Ontario’s Pumpkinferno is back this month and it will transport you into a magical wonderland.

From September 30 until October 30, the Upper Canada Village will take you on a spectacular tour of their outdoor art exhibit with over 7,000 hand-crafted orange balls.

The trail is a kilometre-long path with an amazing 19th-century backdrop. The event will be reviving some of its most popular exhibits, as well as showcasing seven brand new themes.

As you wind through the trail, you’ll be able to see unbelievable sculptures. In previous years, Ontario’s Pumpkinferno has showcased towering dinosaurs, magical wizards and a chugging train.

It is only open during the evening so that you can see the twinkling lights throughout the entirety of your walk.

You can buy tickets for the event on their website. For those who are 5 years and older, it will cost you $20 plus HST. Children 4 and under can enter the event for free.

No pets are allowed, and the trail is entirely outdoors, so the company asks that you dress according to the weather. The Pumpkinferno experience is approximately 40 minutes. The event will also be taking place at Fort Henry this year.

In the winter, Upper Canada Village is also known for its “Alight at Night” event where over one million lights turn their heritage buildings, trees and fences into a glowing snowglobe.

There are also multiple apple orchards that are sprinkled around the province that are sure to put you in the fall spirit. Pick some fruit before enjoying baked goods, pumpkin patches and more.
