This summer, transport yourself back in time at a hidden speakeasy lounge at a Prince Edward County winery. Karlo Estates, which is located in Wellington, is a gorgeous red barn that looks even more magical on the inside.
The building, constructed in 1805 is beaming with history and even better wine. With award-winning reds, whites and rosé, you’ll be sipping all day long.
You can take your glass to their indoor speakeasy, which will really make you feel like you’ve left the 21st century. With red velvet couches, antique rugs and dimmed lights, it’s the perfect date night spot.
Tastings are $4 for a one-ounce pour, and one tasting becomes free after a bottle is purchased.
You can also purchase wine by the glass, and check out some of their plant-based food, which includes dairy-free cheeses.
Once you are done in the lounge, you can always take your glass and stroll through the vineyards to view one of North America’s largest dry-stone bridges.
