PEC’s famous purple barn winery, Closson Chase, has just announced they will be re-opening their restaurant this summer.
Located right beside their barn, partners Bantam has a farm forward menu that offers tons of international flavours for your next lunch.
After you’ve explored the gorgeous vineyards and had your samples of wine, it’s the perfect place to head to for a bite to eat.
This summer, guests can feast on some shareable snacks, such as shrimp cocktails and a cheeseboard.
They also have a flatbread with pesto, roasted red peppers, onion, cheese and herbs.
If you’re looking for a sandwich, they have a variety to choose from including red pepper and pickled beet, coronation chicken salad and an east coast hoagie (with sweet prawns, lobster and crab).
While you can choose to order a glass of the vineyard’s wine, the resto also offers a rotation selection of local beers and some cider to grab.
Currently, the restaurant is open during its spring hours from Wednesday to Sunday, 12-5 p.m. Grab and go options are also available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12-3 p.m.
Closson Chase also has a large outdoor patio and, weather permitting, it’s the perfect place to cozy up with a glass of wine pre or post-lunch.
They also have some hammocks and a beautiful covered garden to explore.
