With summer right around the corner, it is time to get outside and start exploring some of the local microbreweries Ontario has to offer.
From normal pints, to the wildest flavours, these six spots seem to have a variety of brews that will speak to all beer lovers.
So next time you find yourself in one of these towns, make sure to cross these local places off your bucket list!
Barnstormer Brewing
Where: Barrie
This cute little brewery in the heart of Barrie offers some pretty unique flavours that will constantly have you reaching for a second glass, such as the strawberry milkshake brew.
This spot also has some wicked food, so it’s the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a good meal to accompany your beer.
The Exchange Brewery
Where: Niagara-on-the-Lake
Originally the building of Niagara’s first Telephone Exchange, this local brewery links back to its past by numbering their beers.
Once you pick out your flight from a variety of their flavours, it will be served to you on a platter that resembles an old rotary dial phone.
Granite Brewery
Where: Toronto
Located in the heart of Toronto, this local spot is the perfect place to grab a summer pint. The brewery has an adorable backyard patio where you can sip all day.
Not only are there a variety of brews to choose from, but the spot also offers an amazing menu for all meals of the day, including dessert.
Elora Brewing
Where: Elora
This local spot serves tons of fun and seasonal brews. Some of this year’s summer picks include Green Tea, Cranberry and Orange, and Strawberry with Lime.
Midtown Brewing Co.
Where: Prince Edward County
If you find yourself grabbing a pint at this adorable brewery, you will want to make sure you also grab a bite to eat. This spot has amazing wood-fired pizza that you have to try at least once.
Block Three Brewing
Where: St. Jacobs
Located in the picturesque town of St. Jacobs, this brewery is the place to go if you need a break from exploring the town. They offer an endless amount of brews and even offer packs to go.
