The summer heat is here and it’s time to cool down in fashion. Stoney Ridge Winery in Niagara is getting creative this year by offering wine freezies.
Why choose between something frozen and something boozy when you can have both?
Currently, the local spot has two flavours to choose from, Mimosa and Sangria. You can grab one of the colourful wine freezies for $5 each.
Or you can grab both flavours and share them with your friends.
Once you’re all freezied out, you can also sample some of their unfrozen vino during a tasting.
You can either book your own private fireplace, where you can enjoy wine by the glass with a custom charcuterie board, or do something with a bit more variety.
Their normal custom tasting lets you choose 4 of their VQA wines paired with some cheeses. Starting at $25, a dedicated wine educator will help walk you through your flight.
There is a variety of reds, whites and some rosé to choose from.
You can book your tastings in advance on their website.
Stoney Ridge also has Sunday morning yoga for those who want to unwind.
Starting June 12, you can spend an hour doing a relaxing class and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the garden afterwards.
Next time you find yourself in Niagara, this isn’t the only vineyard worth checking out.
Tipsy Theory put together the ultimate bucket list of wineries you absolutely have to check out in 2022 around the region.
You can do blind tastings at Back 10 Cellars or transport yourself to Italy at Colaneri Estate Winery.
