Calling all purple lovers! If you are obsessed with everything in this vibrant hue, you might want to add this spot to your bucket list. Closson Chase Vineyards is the perfect place to go to not only to enjoy a glass of wine but to feel like you’re surrounded by it too.
Established in 1998, this vineyard nestled in Prince Edward County is the best spot for your next tasting adventure.
The bright purple barn stands out all the way down the road and is just as rustic from the inside. Offering a variety of both red, white and rose, there’s something for every vino lover.
You can start the day by doing a tasting in their beautiful covered garden. Sitting on one of their many tables, you can soak in the views of the never-ending vineyard, while picking out your favourite bottle.
Once done, you can wander through the grapes and make a quick stop at their amazing hammocks.
These floating chairs are the perfect place for your Instagram photo of the day, and are also a great place to unwind while you wait for your tasting.
Currently, the venue is only open for wine service and you can get both glasses, bottles and tastings to enjoy garden side.
For the tastings, you can choose 3 of their popular vinos for $15. The vineyard asks that you come in groups no larger than 6.
If you’re planning on heading out to this purple spot, make sure to bring some sunscreen. The inside of the barn lives up to its rustic vibe and only has one air-conditioned room so things can get a little hot.
Closson Chase Vineyards is one of my favourite places to stop during the winter. The snow adds a whole new vibrancy to the amazing colours of this spot.
While you’re in Prince Edward County, there are a variety of other hidden gems that you can stop at.
Broken Stone Winery is a quaint little barn that offers a photo wall and amazing tastings. While Huff Estates is a wine giant that will offering stunning vineyard views.
Happy sipping!
