At the very tip of southern Ontario, right near Windsor, there is a hidden wine country that is filled with gorgeous vineyards and even better vino.
If you’re struggling to figure out which estate you should visit first, here are the top six spots to cross off your bucket list during the summer of 2022.
Paglione Estate Winery
Not only does this spot have a gorgeous estate that is perfect for pictures, but you can also grab a bite to eat while sampling wine.
You can chow down on homemade thin crust pizza that is baked in a wood-fired oven.
North 42 Degrees Estate Winery
Have a glass of wine at their bistro, or sample a few of their fan favourites at this spot.
North 42 Degrees Estate Winery also has a hidden lavender farm that you can walk through and smell the blooms.
Viewpointe Estate Winery
If you’re looking for one of the best wineries in Essex County, this one has the best view by far.
Located right on the shores of Lake Erie, you can sample wine while taking in the endless waves of water.
Quai du Vin Estate Winery
The vineyards here were first planted in the 1970s and this spot is the perfect place to explore the flavours of Lake Erie.
You can visit year-round for tastings and can also enjoy a glass on their Wine Press Terrace.
Cooper’s Hawk Vineyards
Not only can you enjoy a glass of award-winning wine while enjoying the view of the vineyards, but you can also try their restaurant.
With meals like wild mushroom gnocchi, prosciutto-wrapped chicken and shrimp fettuccini, you’ll be coming back for more.
