Try Some Of The Best Wines Niagara Has To Offer All In One Place This Weekend

If you’re a local vino lover, you’ll want to check out this upcoming event. Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake is gathering 21 vineyards into one building so that you can sample some of the best wines in the area.

To celebrate Niagara-on-the-Lake’s decades of winemaking history, Dig Our Roots is an event that really showcases what local spots have to offer.

With multiple events happening throughout the weekend, you won’t want to miss the Appellation Discovery Tasting on Saturday, October 14.

Taking place in the NOTL Museum, you’ll be able to try a selection of over forty VQA wines at multiple stations.

Many notable wineries are participating, including Bella Terra Vineyards, Lakeview Wine Co, Riverview Cellars, Strewn Winery, Chateau des Charmes and more.

While exploring the tastings, there will also be live music and food to enjoy.

Tickets are $90 per person (plus tax and service fee) and can be purchased off the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s website.

There are other Dig Our Roots events happening as well throughout the weekend.

Including, Queenston Mile Vineyard which is doing “Bubbles & Bites” where you can enjoy a flight of sparkling with yummy food pairings.

Or, “Dig into Diavolo” at Pillitteri Estates Winery with mouthwatering pizza and a bottle of their Carretto Cabernet Franc.

Niagara-on-the-Lake has some of the oldest wine-producing vineyards in Canada. With over four decades of experience under their belts, these spots are really showcasing all they have learned this weekend.
