If you’re looking for something other than wineries to explore, Prince Edward County‘s natural wonders are scattered all over the island.

While vast vineyards are beautiful to look at, you can also take in the gorgeous views of water edges, ice-covered cliffs and even purple fields of blossoming lavender.

So next time you find yourself at this vino county, make sure to take a break from wine tasting and soak in some of these views that you’ll never forget.

If you’re having trouble deciding what you want to see first, we have compiled a list of the six best places that you should add to your bucket list the next time you head down.

If you love the water, this hidden gem is a spot that you won’t want to miss on your next travel trip to Prince Edward County.

Lake on the Mountain is a beautiful mass of water that sits on top of a cliff. The best part is, the source of the lake still remains a mystery today.

According to the website, it “defies all known geographical and geological theory.”

Giant Cliffcicles

While these are harder to find than the other wonders on the list, they are worth the hunting.

On a cold winter day, head on out to some of PEC’s backroads where you will find these wonders.

The cliffs that surround the county are the perfect spots for melted ice to transform into a wonderland every winter season.

Sandbanks Beach

Whether you are heading to the county in the winter or the summer, this is a stop that you don’t want to miss. Sandbanks Provincial Park is home to the world’s largest bay mouth barrier dune formation.

The stunning sight of sloping sandhills is something that you will never forget. The spot also has three expansive beaches that are the perfect place to spend the day by the waters.

Bay Of Quinte

Grab some ice cream and take in the beautiful views of boats sailing by at the Trent Port Marina.

This spot also has some good vantage points to take in the views of the water and is one of the best of Prince Edward County’s natural wonders.

After you admire the never-ending fields of purple, the location also has a boutique where you can stock up on tons of farm-grown products.
