This Ontario Restaurant Will Take Your Mouth On A Tour Around The World

You can leave your suitcase at home and head to this Ontario restaurant that will take your mouth on a tour around the world.

The Common, located in Stratford, lets you “eat without borders” and has an eclectic mix of comfort food inspired from different countries here and there.

The chef, Tim Otsuki, graduated from the Stratford Chefs School but has travelled to multiple different spots during his career.

From Hong Kong, to the Caribbean, to Toronto, he’s bringing all his experience back home and using food to help transport you.

When it comes to the menu, the appetizers are a great place to start with fresh rolls, salmon cakes, and crab rangoon.

For the mains, one fan favourite is the roast vegetable stack, which comes with puff pastry, ratatouille, brie, red pepper pesto and basil pesto.

The mussels mouclade comes with yellow curry sauce and their “almost famous” frites. While the Khao Soi Gai is a marinated chicken stir fry with a yellow coconut curry broth.

You can choose between the vanilla bean crรจme brรปlรฉe and flourless chocolate cake for dessert.

In the summer, you can enjoy your meal on the sprawling outdoor patio. With twinkling lights, it’s the perfect spot for a late-night date.

The Ontario restaurant also has live music on some nights. You can find out who is playing on their Instagram.

This isn’t the only restaurant in Ontario that you need to check out this summer. If you’re looking for spots with a view you can also visit some of the best places that are located right next to the water, which are listed in one of our ultimate guides.
