A Niagara winery, nestled into the heart of the county, has some of the best wood-fired pizza around and will let you chow down in a gorgeous cherry orchard this summer.
Pillitteri Estate Winery, along with BarrelHead, have teamed up to open their outdoor patio for the season. With picnic tables lined up around multiple fruit trees, it’s an adorable place to stop and unwind.
You can grab a glass (or a bottle) of one of the estate’s many wines, listen to some live music and watch the chefs make your mouthwatering pizza.
Open seven days a week, you can check their Instagram for their live music schedule.
The menu includes some must-try starters including the peach & prosciutto bruschetta. You can also sample the peach & blueberry salad and the Caprese salad.
When it comes to pizza, a fan favourite is the Diavolo, which comes with the house red sauce, mozzarella, hot soppressata, chilli flakes and house hot oil.
Or you can go for the Ortolana, which comes with olive oil, mozzarella, parmesan, red peppers, green peppers, mushrooms, tapenade, basil, red onions and balsamic reduction.
Suggested for you!
If you’re looking to end the night off with dessert you can go for their Brûléed Peach & Mascarpone. You can also add some icewine for only $5 extra.
However, if you’re not looking for pizza the Niagara winery also has normal tastings, where you can try four of their wines for $20.
With whites, reds, rosés and icewines, you’ll have so many options to choose from.
