There are still a few weeks of summer left, and you’ll want to enjoy those sunny days at this adorable beach town in the Niagara region.
Port Dalhousie, which is located on the shores of St. Catharines, is a small little square that is full of sandy beaches, boats, restaurants and shops.
You can spend your morning tanning on the beach, before heading into the shallow waters. There is a sand bar not too far out into the lake, making it easy to take a walk through the waters.
The beach also has volleyball courts to enjoy, as well as a carousel. The kiddie ride has 68 animals to choose from and was hand carved in 1898, you can still ride it for only five cents.
Once you are done at the beach, you can pack up and head into the town to explore. Stop in at one of the many restaurants in the area for lunch or dinner.
Some fan favourites include Patio Andaluz, where you can get some amazing Mexican fare. Or The Twisted Pig which is an Italian kitchen loaded with pizza, pasta and more.
