Looking for a place to cool off after some beachside fun? It’s time to throw on your cover-up and head to this lakeside spot. On the shores of a sandy beach, this lighthouse restaurant in Orillia is the place to be if you’re looking for some over-the-top cocktails.
While Orillia might be known for its golden shores and quaint shops, it also has a variety of boozy spots to choose from.
I was first drawn to Studabakers Beachside because of its lighthouse exterior. To me, nothing screamed ‘beach vibes’ more than dining inside the illuminated structure.
However, the food joint only got better when I was finally able to check out the drink list. If you’re someone who likes to try the craziest concoctions, this is the place for you.
You might want to give yourself some extra time though, because the drink menu is basically a mini novel.
From a variety of classic cocktails, to 12 different flavours of martinis (including candy apple and chocolate covered cherry), it can be hard to choose exactly what beverage to try.
However, for me, the signature cocktails is where it was at.
I settled on the “Adult Unicorn Shake”, which was just as magical as it sounds.
The vanilla and raspberry milkshake comes topped with whipped cream, cotton candy and a rock candy stick. It also has a splash of amaretto tucked inside.
Yet, if you’re looking for something that will get you tipsy, I would suggest something a little stronger.
Some other crazy options include the “Shake ‘N’ Burger” which is a whole meal in one drink.
The chocolate milkshake is topped with a gourmet bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and a pickle.
If seafood is more your style, you can also grab the “Lobster Caesar” which adds a garlic lobster tail, onion rings, jalapeno popper and fried pickle to your classic caesar.
Of course, if you want to actually save room for your meal (the food menu also has a lot of great options) you can grab something a little less dramatic.
The “Beach Bottom Punch” is a tropical blend of lemonade, margarita mix, Smirnoff Vodka, blue Curacao and some surprise gummy worms.
Their frozen “Chocolate Monkey” cocktail will also have you going bananas, with ice cream and chocolate blended together in the perfect slushy beverage.
However, if you can’t make it out to this restaurant in Orillia, it doesn’t mean that you need to forgo on the crazy cocktails.
You can make Tipsy Theory’s boozy fruit smoothie right from the comfort of your own kitchen.
Happy sipping!
