If you’re a local foodie, you’ll want to add these two Niagara restaurants to your bucket list. Canada’s 100 Best just released their list of the top restaurants for 2024.

150 judges were asked to vote for restaurants based on the complete dining experience. This included service, décor, the depth of the cellar — and, of course, food quality.

While many top-named Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver spots made the list – two Niagara treasures were also entered into the races. Restaurant Pearl Morissette and Oddbird. stood out for their mouthwatering food and amazing service.

Restaurant Pearl Morissette

Located in Jordan Station, this local restaurant focuses on serving food with a reflection of the local ecosystem. They pride themselves in using local ingredients, either from their own farms or from regional purveyors around them.

With an ever-changing menu, you’ll be able to step inside and experience something different every single time.

More than just a restaurant, Pearl Morissette is an experience. With a cross between country casual and fine-dining polish, you can also book tastings at their winery or visit RPM Bakehouse (which sells amazing sweet treats and wine by the bottle.)

This restaurant ranked number 6 on the list of 100.

Oddbird.

Walking down St. Paul Street in St. Catharines, it’s hard to miss this local joint often filled with eager customers.

The menu is filled with flavour, including an oyster bar, duck, beef tartare, octopus and more. Balancing well between fine dining and comfort food – you can also grab some burgers and buttermilk fried chicken.

The wine list is expansive, with both local and international selections and the cocktail menu is constantly changing with the season. It’s a must-try.

You can also stop in down the street at OddBar. which is known for its mouthwatering pizza and beer.
