Dear gentle reader, are you looking to feel like royalty this season? One Niagara spot lets you sip on afternoon tea and it’s so majestic that you’ll be transported into a scene from Bridgerton.
Prince of Wales Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, lets you retire to their drawing room where you can sip on some hot tea (and spill even hotter tea).
Open every day from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., you can get their traditional afternoon tea service. For $45 you get a teapot of one of their many teas (you can choose between black, green and herbals).
You’ll also get a tiered tray which comes with 3 varieties of finger sandwiches, avocado toast, four different assorted pastries and a housemade scone.
Enjoy your meal at your own white-clothed table, surrounded by historical paintings and retro fixtures that will transport you to the 1800s.
There are a few more extravagant tea options as well. You can try the Prince of Wales Tea, which comes with the same selection of treats, but you also get some Canadian cheeses.
Suggested for you!
Or the Monarch Tea, which also comes with your choice of a glass of local sparkling wine, Kir Royale cocktail, sherry or mimosa.
Once you are done sipping your afternoon tea in Niagara, you can take some time to wander around the city square.
This local spot is filled with tons of adorable shops, where you can pick up some local-made goodies, clothes and even the perfect hat to wear on your next tea adventure.
