This Rustic Restaurant In PEC Does Wood-Fired Cooking & It’s To Die For

If you’re looking to taste something different, you’re going to want to check out this restaurant in PEC. Flame + Smith Kitchen and Bar is a farm-to-table restaurant that has a focus on wood-fired cooking.

Nestled into the main street of Bloomfield, this is a spot that is worth checking out both in the summer and winter months.

With a sprawling leafy patio, it’s the perfect place to unwind on a hot day. But they also have a cozy fireplace which makes it the optimal spot to warm up from the snow.

With rustic and warm decor, this PEC restaurant has an amazing aesthetic. They also pride themselves on being a sustainably-minded kitchen that embraces the art of woodfire cooking and supports the community that surrounds them.

By believing that food cooked over an open flame tastes better, there are so many options on their menu that are to die for.

Some popular mains include their steak + frites, grilled butterflied sea bass, wood-fired cauliflower “steak” and piri piri chicken supreme.

On top of that, there is a seafood bar, which offers a selection of east coast oysters and a wild Patagonian shrimp cocktail.

You can finish the night off with dessert, including their Niagara peach cobbler, summer berry sorbet and lemon meringue.

As for the drinks, Flame + Smith also has an expansive wine list that features both local and international selections. Or, you can opt for one of their many cocktails.

The PEC restaurant is open from Thursday to Monday from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended however, they do have bar and patio seating available for walk-ins.
