These Ontario Wine Pouches Are The Best Way To Enjoy A Drink This Summer

If you’re tired of lugging an entire glass bottle of wine to the beach this summer, one Prince Edward County vineyard is making things a bit easier with wine pouches.

Traynor Family Vineyards have launched multiple flavours of their single-served pouches, which are perfect for throwing into your backpack for a backyard party, picnic or pool party.

At 187 mL, they may remind you of your childhood juice boxes or yogurt drinks (except now they are packing a little bit of a punch).

Some types you can get include Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Pinot Gris. They also have some fun flavours including Marmalade Pie, Cherry Bomb, and Inclusion Orange.

You can buy packs of six for $30 to $40 depending on what wine you choose to go with. The pouches can be bought on their website, but are also sold at a local coffee shop Beacon Bike + Brew.

If you’re looking to throw a party you can also get pouches to share, with 1.5 L of wine.

The winery says that these wine pouches have an 85% reduced carbon footprint compared to glass bottles and are made from fully recyclable material.

However, this isn’t the only thing to check out the next time you are at Traynor Family vineyard.

The estate also has wine slushies, which are the must-try drink of the season. You can choose between the Piquette Fruit cocktail and Green Meanie and Peach.

A 200mL-sized mason jar full of vino goodness is $6.

Or, if wine just isn’t your thing you can also take a look at some of the best cider houses in the area, some even sell frozen cider slushies.
