Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. This year, why not break away from the traditional candlelit dinner and explore a side-splitting alternative? Tipsy Theory is bringing a great show to Niagara – A Pint of Pun: A Valentine’s Comedy Special.
Our readers have trusted us for years to bring them the best things to do across Niagara, and now we’re hosting our first-ever event.
On Friday, February 16 you can join us at Taps Brewhouse in Niagara Falls for a night of hilarious laughs with some of the best comedians around. We’ll also have a door prize valued at $50 that will be decided by a random draw at the end of our show!
Taps Brewhouse is a classic local spot, with an expansive drink menu that will have you sipping all night. Choose from beer, wine and a variety of cocktails. The spot also has a specialty coffee list if you’re looking for that caffeine kick.
Start the night off with our MC Adrian Tobey, who will chat about the ups and downs that every relationship truly faces. He will then be followed by Laurie Elliott, Ted Morris and Jean Paul.
Elliott has made her way around, with stand-up credits including Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam and Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm.
While Ted Morris’ defining trait is being insulted by Simon Cowell on season 14 of “America’s Got Talent.”
Headliner Jean Paul is someone you won’t want to miss. The comedian has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims’ Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series.
Doors open for the Niagara comedy show at 8:00 p.m., with the show starting at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets can be bought through Eventbrite and are $20 per person if you act now. Tickets go up to $25 after February 1.
