On the sixth day of Christmas, Tipsy Theory gave to me a chocolate peppermint martini recipe.
With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about what drinks will get you through your next family dinner.
With a martini being one of the strongest drinks around, we decided to add a holiday spin on the concoction. Full of chocolate goodness, you won’t even realize that you’re drinking straight liquor.
If you have any extra candy canes lying around, make sure to throw them into the drink to add even more of a Christmassy vibe. This recipe serves two (or one if you’re brave enough).
All you need to do is shake, shake, shake and pour to enjoy this holiday recipe.
Happy sipping!
Here’s What You Need To Make This Chocolate Peppermint Martini Recipe:
Serves: 2
- A handful of ice cubes
- 2 oz of chocolate cream liqueur ( we use Bottega’s Gianduia chocolate cream)
- 2 oz of Smirnoff’s Peppermint Twist Vodka
- Crushed candy canes for garnish
You can substitute both liquors for anything resembling the same flavours.
How To Make It:
1- Fill up martini shaker with ice cubes.
2- Pour both the vodka and chocolate cream into the shaker, close lid securely and shake for at least a minute.
3- Once cooled, you can transfer the mixed drink into two separate glasses (making sure to strain out the icecubes).
4- For garnish, you can line the rim of the glass with honey, before dipping into some crushed candy canes. You can also add a full candy cane into the drink for some extra flare.
5- Enjoy!
