Just because Niagara-on-the-Lake is home to some of the best wineries in the province, doesn’t mean you need to fill your days with grapes and stemmed glasses.
Scattered around the area are a variety of breweries that have some amazing suds that you don’t want to miss out on.
Start your day off by grabbing a glass at Silversmith Brewing Company. The adorable vine-covered abode will have you feel like you’re own little slice of paradise.
After that, you can do a tasting at The Exchange or one of the other four breweries that we love in the area.
Not matter if you stop at one, or all six, of these breweries in Niagara-on-the-Lake, you are sure to have a suds-tastic time.
Stop 1: Silversmith Brewing Company

This ivy-covered location is the perfect place to stop if you are getting sick of wine. The converted church, which dates back to the 1890s, now has a variety of award-winning Black Lagers.
You can spice things up by trying a variety of their seasonal and limited edition brews that you can only grab once in a while.
Stop 2: Counterpart Brewing
Location: 3659 Stanley Ave. Unit 8, Niagara Falls, On
Feeling a bit peckish? Counterpart Brewing is the perfect place to stop if you’re looking for some suds and some fuel.
Located in Niagara Falls, this quaint spot offers a rotating tap full of unique flavours.
You can also grab some of their feature boards that include items such as calamari, Korean fried chicken and grilled sourdough.
Stop 3: The Exchange Brewery
Location: 7 Queen St., PO Box 1880, Niagara-on-the-Lake, On
Dial up your friends and head on over to this spot. The building, which use to be a telephone exchange, has used that heritage for a twist on your classic tasting experience.
Every beer is numbered, instead of named, and flights are served to you on a circular plank that hints at the old dial telephone.
Stop 4: Wayne Gretzky Estates

This is the perfect stop for those who can’t decide if they want beer or wine. (And you don’t need to know anything about hockey to enjoy this place)
