It’s time to submerge yourself in red this fall. An Ontario winery is hosting its annual cranberry harvest and you can wade in a sea full of berries.
Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery has announced that their cranberry harvest will be taking place from September 24 until the end of October, as they pick and produce around 300,000 to 400,000 pounds of cranberries in their 27 acres worth of fields.
During this time, you can partake in tons of different activities, including wagon tours, wine tastings, hiking trails, fresh cranberries and more!
One of the more popular things to do is the plunge. Throughout the fall you can fit into some waders and trek through a sea of floating cranberries.
It’s the perfect photo-op opportunity and can be reserved through the company’s website.
Just make sure to bring your camera for lots of photos (and maybe an extra pair of socks just in case).

On the weekend after Thanksgiving (October 14-16) the Bala Cranberry Festival will also be happening in the city.
The entire town will be getting involved, with midway rides, live music entertainment, farmers’ markets, and more.
Tickets for the city’s festival cost $10 per adult and $5 per child.
If you’re more into wine, you can just stop at Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery to do a tasting. They have plenty of vino, ciders and even a cranberry splash wine spritzer.
Some fan favourites include their blueberry, white cranberry and cranberry blueberry wines. They also have a red maple dessert wine that is a must-try.
