A Giant Icewine Festival Is Hitting Niagara This Month

Icewine Festival Niagara

Calling all sweet tooths! A giant icewine festival is hitting Niagara this January and it’s a winter event that you won’t want to miss.

The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is hosting the annual event and it will be packed full of “liquid gold,” sweet treats and breathtaking parties.

Starting January 12, you can get a discovery pass that lets you hit up six different wineries and celebrate the famed dessert wine.

During your exploration, you’ll be able to try some amazing icewine that will be paired perfectly with delicious bites.

Bella Terra Vineyards will be pairing their Riesling Icewine with a puff pastry filled with lemon custard and topped with whipped cream.

While Henry of Pelham is serving up some roasted pear and parsnip soup paired with their 2018 red icewine. (And these are only some of the wineries involved, you can check out the full list here of all the wine and food pairings.)

You also won’t want to miss the Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Festival that will be taking place on January 20, 21, 27 and 28.

With live entertainment, ice sculptures and other activities, it’s the perfect way to throw yourself into the culture of wine county.

Guests will also have the opportunity to sample some exceptional icewines and culinary delights.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Cool As Ice Gala, which will be taking place on the evening of January 13 at the Niagara Parks Power Station.

The one-night event will be filled with music, dancing, immersive performances and lots of icewine.

To view the full list of events that will be happening throughout the Niagara Icewine Festival and to purchase tickets, you can check out the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival’s website.
