You Can Skate Under Twinkling Lights At A Niagara Winery This Winter

It’s time to lace up your skates and hit the rink! Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery in Niagara has announced that their rink is opening to skate this December and it’s the perfect winter activity.

This spot is paying tribute to the roots of hockey. Every winter, the massive pond that sits in the middle of the estate turns into something a bit more magical.

With twinkling lights hanging above, this skating rink is the perfect spot to do a lap or two. The location even has massive outdoor heaters that you can warm up with once you’re done.

The rink is set to open on December 1, weather permitting. However, if you’re looking to do a lap, you will need to make a reservation through their website.

Admission is $10 plus tax (or $5 for children and Wine Club members). Skate and helmet rentals are available but are on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional cost.

With your reservation, you’ll also get a table at the Whisky Bar Patio. Here, you’ll be able to order wine, hot cocktails and food from a warm winter-inspired menu.

As long as the weather cooperates, you’ll be able to do laps around the rink from early December until mid-March.

On top of that, there will also be special community skate days and DJ nights throughout the season. You can view all the dates on the company’s website.

You can also do more than skate at this Niagara winery. They have seated tastings and estate tours that will really show you all the estate has to offer.
