You Can Sip Wine & Eat Cheese Fireside At This Niagara Winery

Warm up this season with a fireside tasting from a Niagara winery. Westcott Vineyards is the perfect place for a romantic date this winter.

The estate has announced that they are now launching their fireside tasting for 2, where you can cozy up indoors in front of a flame.

For one hour, you’ll be able to sip your way through 6 of their premium wine samples, while you watch the logs burn.

You’ll also get to pair your vino with four different cheese samples from the popular Upper Canada Cheese Company (who are known for their cheese subscription box).

Being indoors, it’s the perfect place to escape when the temperatures start to plummet throughout the winter months.

The experience will cost $80 for a couple and can be booked in advance through the company’s website. It’s available to book from Thursday to Sunday.

If you’re looking for something a bit more laid back, you can also do the casual tasting flight where you sample four different vinos for $20.

Or, you can do a guided tasting experience for $30, where you can try 6 of their wines throughout the hour.

Westcott Vineyards is known for its sparkling, white, rosé and red. Some of their wines, including the 2019 Estate Pinot Noir, have even won awards.

This isn’t the only Niagara winery where you can sip wine fireside. Spots like 13th Street will let you do some tastings next to an outdoor firepit.

Stoney Ridge Winery will also let you sit back in a Muskoka chair and enjoy some of their award-winning wine by the fire.
