You Can Watch Free Movies At A Retro Theatre In PEC This Summer

Calling all film lovers! You can catch free movies this summer at a retro theatre in PEC.

Regent Theatre, which is located in Picton, has a Summer Fun Movie Series that lets you watch some classics without paying a penny.

Every Sunday at 2 p.m. you can drop by and be seated on a first-come-first-served basis. No advance purchases or reservations are required.

You can grab some popcorn, snacks and drinks before cozying up in the classic red seats in the theatre.

On Sunday, August 7, you can enjoy Indiana Jones’ Raiders of the Lost Ark and on August 14 you can catch Mamma Mia!

Finish off summer by dancing along to the classic Footloose on Sunday, August 21.

You can also catch the new movie Nope on Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13 for only $10. A full movie schedule can be seen on their website, which includes new releases and classics.

The PEC theatre was first started back in 1918 as a hub for entertainment and stays true to that today. They put on live performances throughout the year. You can listen to concerts put on by the PEC Jazz Festival near the end of August.

If you’re a holiday lover, they also have a performance of A Christmas Carol coming to the theatre on December 9, 2022.
