Gin & Tonic Recipe: Lavender Edition

With Adrian and I’s recent trip to Las Vegas, we found ourselves reaching for something a little more than just our usual cup of red wine. In fact, the entire time we were exploring the lights of Sin City we found ourselves reaching for this simple, yet classic, drink. While the classic gin drink is nothing short of a good time, this gin & tonic recipe has something just a little extra.

Since we got back from Vegas in January, Adrian and I have been experimenting with different kinds of gin to find the perfect tonic based drink.

On our recent trip to Prince Edward County in February we stopped at a cute little distillery called Kinsip. Specializing in a variety of alcohol, we stumbled (quite literally) across their gin collection, one of which was lavender based.

At first, I was skeptical about how lavender would taste in any alcohol, let alone gin. However, in the spirit of trying new things, I quickly took a sample of the unusual drink.

Since then, I haven’t been able to look back, and am constantly reaching for the Juniper’s Wit Gin. This blend comes with hints of juniper, lavender and hops and will have you constantly reaching for a second glass.
